Can I use these recipes for any dog?
These recipes are designed for healthy adult dogs.
They are formulated using recognised nutritional guidelines (FEDIAF) based on a typical adult dog. They are not suitable for puppies or dogs with specific medical conditions unless advised by your vet.
Can I create my own version using ingredients I already have at home?
No.
It’s important not to guess or mix and match ingredients.
These recipes are carefully formulated to be balanced and changing ingredients or quantities can easily make the diet unbalanced.
Are these recipes actually balanced?
Yes.
They are built using recognised nutritional guidelines (FEDIAF), a professional software formulator and reviewed by a veterinary nutritionist, so your dog gets everything they need.
Why do I need supplements if I’m feeding fresh food?
Because fresh food alone does not provide all the nutrients your dog needs.
The supplements are what make the diet complete and properly balanced.
Is this expensive compared to commercial dog food?
It depends on the ingredients you choose.
Many owners find it comparable, and often better value when you consider the quality and control over what you are feeding.
Once you've purchased your recipe, you will also have the option to feed 50% homemade and 50% commercial. The software will work out the correct amount of food to feed for each based on your dog weight, activity level and kcal in your commercial dog food.
Can I use this supplement alongside commercial food?
If your dog is eating 100% commercial food, V-Integra should NOT be used. Commercial foods already contain added vitamins and minerals, so combining them may lead to an imbalance or excesses. If you are feeding a mixed diet, we recommend working with a nutrition professional to ensure the correct amount is being used.
Is it complicated or time consuming?
No.
The recipes are designed to be simple and practical, with clear steps you can follow.
How much should I feed my dog?
Each recipe includes clear feeding guidelines based on your dog’s weight and activity level.
You do not need to calculate anything, it is already worked out for you.
How do I introduce this diet to my dog?
Most dogs adapt well to fresh food.
If your dog is used to processed food, a gradual transition (over a week / 10 days) can help.
You can slightly warm the food before serving, but make sure any supplements are added afterwards.
Can I feed this recipe raw?
No.
These recipes are specifically designed to be cooked.
They account for nutrient loss during cooking, so feeding them raw would make the diet unbalanced.
When should I add the supplements?
Supplements should be added just before serving and not cooked with the food.
